Bored doing exam study, hows everyone’s keys looking today? Mine seems to have a 2:1 electronic to pure metal ratio currently.

my fob is broken

Way too much stuff on my keychain. Also, keyless ignition FTW.

Looking good.

Just got her back from the trans shop and I lost my carabiner with the rest of my keys. I wanted to show off my carbon carabiner.

Truck key, mail box key and does anyone know what those other 2 keys are for? I have no idea.

It was something I ended up with at my first job after college and I’ve kept it on there ever since.

House keys are on the carabiner to make it easy to change it up and only carry this around.

Let’s see, we’ve got the remote to the Volvo that doesn’t work, the key to the Volvo that doesn’t drive at all, wife’s shop key, apartment key, apartment building key, company bottle opener, key to my file cabinet at work, various and sundry membership tags, VW key, promotional key fob from the manufacturer of the leashes my wife sells at her shop.

Thanks to GM and all the jerks kicking their keys out of their ignitions, my keychain has added weight and complexity.
(If you’re unfamiliar, there was a recall to remove the blades from the fobs, then they added a separate key and put an insert in the key’s slot so anything else on the keychain can’t slide about as much)

That’s... slightly less than elegant. Surprised the car didn’t just come with keyless start like everything else that’s on the market right now.

Yes that Jeep logo was 3D printed in my living room.

I keep my car keys separate from my set with my house, garage, and office keys.
My FR-S key is on a leather keychain that was my grandfather’s. It was from a Ford dealership, but the imprint has worn away. The carabiner was a gift for my 16th birthday, 10 years ago.

Kinda missing my ST now.

So THAT’S what that was all about. I was driving a ‘15 Camaro RS convertible a few weeks ago and remember pressing the round key extend button, only for it to not be in there at all.
Also, the automatic shifter on those things is horrible. It’s so mushy.

Truck key and fob, with a camo house key.

Yea, I’m sure the new ones will have keyless stuff, but it would’ve been a massive cluster trying to retrofit it across all the current vehicles, especially since the fifth gen Camaro’s been out since 2010.

Daily driver and track car, wish I didn’t need the apartment and mailbox keys but the bottle openers are required

Yup, there’s a little stub and a slot where it used to be:
Not the best picture, but you get it. You can still push the button and flip the stub around.
Also come to think of it, I’ve never driven an automatic Camaro :) the CTS-V, ATS, and Sanic I’ve driven were though. The CTS-V was the best, ATS was very good, and the Sanic was unremarkable. I’m probably not the best judge though, all my automagics have been in the process of dying and therefore horrific.

Keeping house and car/bike keys separate. Also added the gtd emblem for a little wishful thinking and the +5hp boost from stickers.

Is that a lawnmower key?
![]() 05/27/2015 at 08:48 |

Indak key. Works in most lawn mowers, golf carts, and farm equipment. Very handy when you need to steal an old combine.

I’ll play!
Key for the WRX. Yes, it’s still under free maintenance!
The second set is a bit more utilitarian.

Yes, I would have just not done it... I hate seeing all the people come into their dealership to replace the switch blade

It’s not a horrible automatic, but the shifter feels like a stick in a bucket of goop.

(Land Cruiser key is hanging out with my house keys).
